About

Laura Arbuckle - Armet Accounting
Hello, I’m Laura and I transform your financial data into reports that satisfy your legal requirements and help you to make better business decisions.
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I do love a spreadsheet! The best bit about my job is taking a large quantity of data and analysing it into something useful, saving my clients stress and possibly some money along the way.

Through Armet Accounting, I am delighted that I get the chance to help small businesses and individuals meet their financial obligations by completing their tax returns and accounts in the format required by Companies House and HMRC. I reduce my clients’ stress in producing these documents and along the way have managed to save money for some people, reduce anxiety and prevent financial penalties for others.  In providing you with useful and timely information about your business, I can guide you through the decisions that you need to take in order to make your business a success.

If you think you’d like me to work with you, you can contact me using any of the methods detailed above. Don’t forget to read my blog to find out more about me and to read all my latest hints and tips here.

 Listen

Armet Accounting is a welcoming space where you can talk. We know connection is vital to the work we do, and empathy is at the heart of connection. We listen with intent to understand people’s fears, goals and circumstances.

Running a business is a big deal, and sometimes you need a trusted person to run to, rant to and celebrate with. Beyond the accounting support, we’re a sounding board for our clients, who are willing to listen and take guidance onboard in return.

Respect

Life is too short to work with people who don’t respect you. We don’t do intimidation, manipulation or conflict here. We treat everyone we meet as equals and have regard for each person’s individual situation.

At Armet, we respect ourselves, our clients and our team by setting clear and fair expectations, knowing healthy boundaries allow us to be more generous with our time. Respect in return means holding yourself to the same standard and valuing guidance.

Learn

To grow in any way requires continuous learning. We commit to guiding our clients through their finances, always communicating what things mean, what we’re doing and why it’s important.

We share our knowledge and apply our expertise, but we’re not afraid to say “I don’t know”, viewing the pursuit of the solution as an opportunity to upskill. We’re always learning about our clients and their businesses, and we work with people who are open to being educated.

Integrity

In our view, integrity is the best policy. Like our clients, we’re running a small business too. We share our journey with our clients to build trusting relationships.

We’re a very organised bunch, and hold ourselves accountable to our commitments. If we say we’re going to do something, we’ll do it. But integrity doesn’t mean we’ll always get it right. Having integrity also means being transparent about failures and learnings.

Urusla keeps on top of all the client data. With many years of bookkeeping experience she makes sure that everything is in the best possible shape for review.

Andrea spends most of her time looking after our companies but helps out with the sole traders from time to time.  As an ACCA qualified accountant, she's well placed to ensure the accounts and tax returns are in good shape.
