Information for Companies

Whether your company is a small owner manged business or a larger more established company, there are administrative requirements laid down by law, which are more onerous than that of a sole trader or partnership business. Not only that, as your company grows, the requirements develop. Wouldn't it be great if there was someone who could guide you through meeting the ever changing demands of a growing company and ensure all the deadlines are met along the way.

If you aren't sure whether you can take a dividend or how to optimise your salary for tax efficiency, how to quantify the tax due and when and how to pay it, then why don't you enlist my help?  I would love to take these stressful parts of running a business and manage them for you, whilst you free up your time to spend on the things you really want to do, safe in the knowledge that someone else is there to make sure the admin is taken care of.
I can help you by managing the financial administration of your company to ensure that you meet the basic legal requirements. Simply hand your data to me and I will draft your accounts and tax return before discussing any options available with you so that you can make the best decisions for your business. Add on additional services as your business grows.

Whilst it is possible for a sole trader to navigate their own path through the tax system, it is harder for companies to produce their own accounts following the complicated accountancy standards as required by HMRC. Having spent 20 years in the accountancy profession I am well versed in the issues affecting companies today and the reporting required of them. The interaction between company and personal tax is different for each company depending on the stage of your business and your personal circumstances.
Laura Arbuckle - Chartered Accountant
The starter company package includes a full set of accounts for HMRC and a smaller version for Companies House, a Corporation Tax return (or two if you’re in your first year of business) and 2 dividend discussions through the year as well as Companies House annual confirmation statement (the Companies House fee of £13 is not included). A basic tax return for one director is also included in the price.

As your company grows you may wish to add on additional services such as VAT, payroll, management accounts or forecasting. Pricing is based on how long it will take me to complete the return so if you give me a bag of receipts it will cost more than if you give me a well curated spreadsheet. Prices start from £540.
